What Is sibo?

Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is a condition where an excessive amount of bacteria builds up in the small intestine, leading to symptoms like bloating, stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation, and other digestive challenges. While SIBO is challenging for anyone, it can be especially tough on kids and their families, as finding safe, kid-approved foods can feel overwhelming.

Sibo Kids

About SIBO KIDS

For us, this journey began with our son, Eli. About a year ago, after months of sleepless nights, constant stomach pain, and heartbreaking tears, we finally received a diagnosis: SIBO. While it was a relief to have answers, the next emotion was fear—what could we feed him? How could we help him feel better and still enjoy being a kid?

We faced months of trial and error, learning about SIBO, experimenting with recipes, and figuring out what worked for Eli. Along the way, we realized just how few resources were out there for kids with SIBO. Many websites and diets cater to adults, leaving families like ours to navigate this journey alone.

Why We're Here

After a year of navigating SIBO, we’ve come to one conclusion: families shouldn’t have to go through this alone. I’ve spoken to many moms who’ve felt the same fear and frustration, and I’ve loved helping them find the resources and confidence they need to support their kids. That’s why we created SIBO Kids—to share the snacks, recipes, and tips that worked for Eli and to provide a resource for other families who are on this same path.

Our Mission

SIBO doesn’t have to take away the joy of childhood or the peace of family mealtime. Through this site, we hope to bring you kid-tested, parent-approved snacks, meal ideas, and tools to make life with SIBO easier. Whether you’re new to this journey or looking for fresh ideas, we’re here to help your family thrive.
